I’m Luca Tibberio, an Italian wedding photographer with almost 20 years of experience photographing destination weddings in Italy, most of them in Tuscany, for couples from the US, the UK, Germany and beyond.
I don’t want to turn your wedding into a photoshoot.
I’m there to observe, anticipate and tell the story of what actually happens: the people, the emotions, the unexpected moments and all the little things that make your day yours.

Why Italy
Knowing Italy, not just its venues
Italy is where I photograph weddings, from the Tuscan countryside to the Amalfi Coast, from historic cities to small celebrations in places you may never have heard of.
Being Italian and knowing this country well means more than simply knowing its beautiful locations. It means understanding the places, the light, the pace of the day and, above all, how to photograph a wedding without getting in its way.
I love meeting people and telling their stories, turning moments into memories. Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding in the Tuscan countryside, a celebration on the Amalfi Coast, a city wedding in Rome, or something completely different, my approach remains the same.
MY APPROACH
My approach is simple: I want you to feel comfortable,
forget about the camera and enjoy your day.
The less you notice me, the more you can be yourselves.
I work quietly and unobtrusively, moving through the wedding without constantly directing what happens. I observe, anticipate and look for the moments that naturally unfold between you and the people around you. I want you and your guests to feel so comfortable around me that, after a while, you simply forget I’m holding a camera.
Sometimes I’ll give you a little direction when it helps, especially for portraits, but most of the time my job is simply to be there, pay attention and let the day happen.
The day
What a day with me looks like
I usually arrive while you’re getting ready, when the house is still quiet, and I stay with you until the party is in full swing, up to 10 hours.
For most of the day I simply watch: the ceremony, your families and friends, the moments nobody planned.
If you wish, we’ll set aside around 20 minutes for some relaxed portraits of the two of you, usually after the ceremony when the light gets soft over the hills or while your guests enjoy the aperitivo.
I’ll take you where the light and the setting are at their best and offer a little guidance, nothing more: no complicated poses, just the two of you. It’s the only moment of the day when I’ll give you directions. See what’s included and prices
Where
Where I work as an Italian wedding photographer
Most of my weddings are in Tuscany: the Val d’Orcia, Chianti, the countryside around Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza and Cortona.
After many weddings there, I know a lot of these places well: where the light falls late in the afternoon, where to go if it rains, how long it really takes to get from the church to the villa. Small things, but they make the day easier for you.
I also travel all over Italy, to Lake Como and the other lakes, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Le Marche and the art cities, and sometimes abroad: I’ve photographed weddings in Spain, Greece and Mexico.

Questions couples ask me
My full day is €2,200 in Tuscany, all inclusive: up to 10 hours, around 500 edited photos, travel, accommodation and taxes. For weddings elsewhere in Italy I prepare a quote that depends on the location. All the details are on the price page.
Wherever you’d like me to tell your story, in Italy or abroad. In Italy most of my weddings are in Tuscany, on the Amalfi Coast and on Lake Como, and I’ve also photographed weddings in Greece, Spain and Mexico.
Of course: welcome dinners, pizza parties, rehearsal dinners or farewell brunches. All options and prices are in the price guide I send after your first message.
Around 500 fully edited high-resolution JPGs, in colour with a selection in black and white, no watermark. You’ll receive a sneak peek about three weeks after the wedding and the complete password-protected gallery within three to four months, with an optional print shop for prints and albums.
Tell me your date and venue as soon as you have them: May to September fills up first. After a short video call, a contract and a deposit secure your date.
Many couples tell me this before the wedding, and it rarely shows. For most of the day you won’t be posing at all: I photograph what happens while you’re busy with your families and friends, so there’s nothing to perform. During the short couple portraits I take care of the light and the setting, and all I ask is that you stay close and talk to each other. After a couple of minutes most people forget about the camera, and the photos look like you on a good day, not like someone trying to look good.
